The primary objective is to introduce trainee to the principles and practice of reverse engineering mechanical parts. Through hands-on exercise, the trainee will examine real-world components, measure critical dimensions and create accurate digital models using computer aided design (CAD) tools
Digital complex mechanical components without original drawings
Modify or improve existing parts through CAD modelling
Produce functional prototypes using 3D printing
Understand the reverse engineering workflow as applied in industries like automotive, aerospace, tooling and product design
