    One Day Workshop on “Internal Auditor’s Training on ISO 9001 : 2015 was organized by Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings at CICU Commercial Complex, E-648-A, Phase-V, Focal Point, Ludhiana. Sh. Avtar Singh, President, CICU welcomed the participants and said that in the present economic scenario, MSMEs are to be encouraged for raising talents and skills, which could lead them towards door of success in these challenging times. The participants will learn methods and procedures of Internal Auditing Process as per latest standards, which will facilitate to strengthen Quality Management System and Quality Assurance. This highly interactive and thought provoking workshop was conducted by Er. Prem Kumar Sharma , B.E. (Ind. Engg.) & M. Sc (Organic Chemistry) , Certified Lead Auditor (QMS , EMS & OHSAS), who is having 27 years of experience including 16 years of Industrial experience in leading industries & 11 years of Auditing / Training of Quality Management Systems including Up-gradation to 2015 Versions of 9001 : 2008. The Faculty explained in details regarding need and importance of Internal Audit, Understanding to ISO 9001:2008 with Focus on the Changes to ISO 9001:2015 Version, Audit Methodology / Audit Trail Probing, How to write the Non-Conformity, Corrective action and follow-up and Presentation of Audit Findings. More than 40 professionals from industries including Executives and Managers from Marketing, Design, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Materials, HRD, Administration,    Internal Auditors, Quality Managers, Head of department and Consultants etc attended the workshop and learned the various skills to effectively implement the above standard for up gradation of previous standard for will which improve further their process, products, quality and services etc. Sh. Upkar Singh Ahuja, General Secretary, CICU in his concluding remarks said that due to globalization of the Indian economy, the Industry and Trade Sectors are facing new challenges. This workshop will make valuable contribution for effective use of “ISO 9001:2015” for promoting quality, productivity and reducing wastage and improving environments for sustainable growth of Industrial and Trade Sectors of Punjab, therefore improving their overall efficiency. He further said that knowledge shared in this workshop if implemented effectively and efficiently will definitely improve their overall profitability. He appreciated the participants for lively and interactive discussions.
